What To Do In The Garden In June…

Even with the latest gales and cold weather it’s safe to say that in the month of June us gardeners no longer have to worry about frosts, June with it’s long days and damp conditions it can often offer one of the best months for our bedding plants and veggie patches to flourish.
 
So here is our list of the 10 things you can do to keep on track in your garden in June:
 
• Plant out your hanging baskets and boarders with annuals
 
• Cut back any early flowering perennials and stake tall or floppy ones
 
• Cut back spring bulbs
 
• Pinch out any side shoots on your tomato plants
 
• Harvest salad crops and re plant ever two weeks so that you get a constant supply
 
• Plant out any tender vegetables such as courgettes, tomatoes and squash
 
• Prune plum and cherry trees
 
• Protect any fruits with netting to stop birds from eating them
 
• Water your grass regularly and feed
 
• Clean up your patio
