Intercounty's history

The first Intercounty office opened its doors above a sweet shop in Saffron Walden in 1991 (a thriving market town in Essex recently voted one of the best places to live it the country). In the early days the business concentrated predominantly on the sale of local homes in the 2nd hand market.

Following a successful few years it was soon time to open a second office in the bustling market town of Bishops Stortford, just 12 miles to the south of Saffron Walden in East Hertfordshire.

In 1998 the business gradually grew to 5 offices covering East Hertfordshire and West Essex and in 2005 residential lettings and mortgage advice were added Intercounty's range of services.

2007 marked the next significant change for the business when it became part of LSLi, a specialist property investment group. LSLi are part of LSL, one of the UK’s leading residential property services companies. This new partnership meant that the business was well placed for future expansion.

Intercounty has continued to expand the lettings side of the business through merger and acquisition including the building of a bespoke and dedicated property management and customer services centre.
