If you are a property investor or looking to buy a second home then you will probably be aware of the changes to stamp duty in the UK. As from April this year investors will have to pay an extra 3% stamp duty when buying a property. In the past property buyers wouldn’t have paid any stamp duty on a property of a value less than £150,000 but will now have to pay 3%, where as in the past they only would have paid nothing.
