First-Time Buyers On The Move!

Recent figures released by LSL Property Services reports that the number of monthly first-time buyers has increased by 42% compared to February 2013, with 22,400 first-time buyers transactions in February 2014, up by 42% when compared to the same period last year.

Greg Young, Managing Director at Intercounty has been encouraged by the recent increase in first- time buyers entering the local market place and adds 'the number of  tenants who are now considering buying for the first time has increased as house prices increase. As reported by LSL, 8 out of 10 first-time buyers are now expecting house prices to increase, with 81% anticipating that house prices will rise over the next year, 48% predicting rises of up to 5-10% and a further 9% predicting that house prices will rise by more than 10%.'
