The latest House Price Index from Hometrack has shown that despite the Brexit uncertainty there have been no signs of any impact on the property market, in terms of prices and market activity.
Andrew Gilchrist, Director of Intercounty commented: “At Intercounty we have experienced some price adjusting over the past year across Essex and Hertfordshire, but we are finding that the housing market still remains strong. Especially with the lead up to Christmas when potential sellers are busy getting their properties ready for one of the busiest times of the year, the January rush. Christmas is often the only time of year when families can get together to plan ahead, including moving, so they are the most likely to be looking at properties online during this time. That’s why it’s so important for sellers to make sure their properties are wrapped up for the festive period.”
Figures released from Rightmove, one of the most popular property portals revealed that the 2nd of January 2018 was the busiest day on their website over a 12 months period.
So if you are thinking about selling in 2019, then there’s still time to get your property marketed in time for Christmas. One of the most important aspects of selling a house in this present climate is to make sure you have it priced for a sale, Intercounty has had years of experience in selling properties across Essex and Herts so are very well placed to give help and advice on making sure you achieve the best price for your property.
