Building expertise, celebrating achievement: Congratulations to our Intercounty colleagues on their ARLA Propertymark success

We're delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of Reece Knight, Katie Mitson, Kelsey Foster and Olivia Taroni, who have successfully completed their ARLA Propertymark qualifications as part of our in-house training programme.

Their success reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment shown across Intercounty to developing professional knowledge and expertise.

This is not only an important personal achievement for Reece, Katie, Kelsey and Olivia. The knowledge gained through their qualifications also helps our team provide landlords and tenants with informed, professional guidance in an ever-changing lettings landscape.

What does MARLA mean?

MARLA stands for Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents and is a recognised professional designation within the lettings industry.

Achieving it demonstrates knowledge across important areas of residential lettings and property management, including legislation, compliance and the responsibilities of landlords and letting agents.

With the lettings landscape continuing to evolve, this expertise helps our team stay up to date and offer landlords and tenants informed, professional guidance.

Putting knowledge into practice

For Olivia, pursuing the qualification was an opportunity to deepen her understanding of the industry and build on the experience she had already developed in her role.

"I was motivated to pursue the MARLA qualification as I wanted to further develop my knowledge and understanding of the lettings and property management industry, particularly around legislation and the responsibilities of landlords and agents.

"The qualification has been particularly helpful in my role, as I deal with a lot of maintenance issues and regularly need to provide advice to both landlords and tenants. Having the MARLA qualification gives me greater confidence that the advice I am providing is accurate and backed by the relevant legislation and guidance."

The achievements of Reece, Katie and Kelsey further demonstrate the commitment across our team to strengthening professional knowledge and maintaining high standards. Together, their success gives our customers additional reassurance that the people supporting them are investing in the expertise needed to navigate a complex and evolving industry.

Investing in our people

Reece, Katie, Kelsey and Olivia's success reflects our wider commitment to helping colleagues develop their skills and progress in their careers.

Earlier this year, our in-house AIG Training Group was launched to give colleagues the opportunity to work towards recognised industry qualifications with ARLA Propertymark through dedicated training alongside independent study.

The first cohort has already seen 15 colleagues successfully achieve their ARLA qualification, with their hard work celebrated at a special graduation ceremony. The programme continues to grow, with a further 22 colleagues set to begin their own journey towards an industry qualification in the next training cohort.

An achievement to be proud of

For Reece, Katie, Kelsey and Olivia, earning the right to put MARLA after their names recognises the knowledge, commitment and professionalism they bring to their roles.

For our landlords and tenants, it also provides further confidence that the people supporting them have invested in developing their expertise in an industry where legislation and responsibilities continue to change.
