Good photographs are key to the success of selling a property as more and more prospective buyers search for properties online before contacting the relevant selling agent. Ensuring your property looks at its best could result in a faster sale that could lead to a achieving a higher price for your property.
At Intercounty we have embraced this by employing the services of a professional photographer to take pictures for all our properties* Claire Moir, because we understand that first impressions count which is why we want every property to look its absolute best. Claire Moir based in Saffron Walden holds licentiateship qualification of the Master’s Photographer’s Association and the British Association for Newborn Photographers. She has also been awarded the Fujifilm’s Portrait Photographer of the year – that’s why we feel she is well placed for bringing out the best on our properties.
Here are some tips on how to get your property ready for our professional photographer:
Make sure your property has curb appeal – make sure any bins are out of sight, and the garden looks at its best.
Get rid of any clutter, put anything away which is not relevant.
Clean, clean, clean, buff up taps, dust – making sure your property looks at its best.
Staging – make sure you use props such as flowers, ornaments to bring out the best in your house, buy a loaf of bread, top up the fruit bowl, all of these things will make your home look more enticing to buyers.
Lighting – make sure your property is well-lit, turn on all pendent lights and bedside lights - open up curtains to ensure there is as much natural light as possible coming into your property.
Make sure the beds are made and if you have some cushions add these too.
