If you are looking for things to do this Easter then how about a visit to Wimpole Hall. It’s a lovely place to visit at this time of year, brimming with spring flowers and chocolate eggs!
This weekend from Good Friday through to Easter Monday they are holding a Cadbury’s Easter egg hunt, it costs £2.50. Children will get the chance to see all sorts of wildlife during their hunt where they will discover secret tunnels, new pathways and lots more. At the end of the hunt they will be able to find Millie the sheep sculpture where children will be able to add a piece of will to her fleece.
During the Easter holidays there will be other activities to from the 3-15 April, including a nature trail through the immense parklands, with the opportunity to follow a check list and tick off the items that they see throughout their parkland discovery. The costs is £2.50 and includes a trail sheet, the loan of a pair of binocular, a bug pot to put in their favourite bugs and a packet of seeds to take home.
During the Easter holiday’s visitors will also be able to explore the Arable Farm. This starts in the Great Barn of Wimpole Hall, and covers the history, archaeology, wildlife and nature on the site as well as the current farming practices and the crops that are grown there.
Later on in the month of April you will be able to see all of the new spring lambs, being born from the 21 April - 7 May. Children will also be able to learn about rare breeds and why they have been homed at Wimpole Hall.
