Not sure about what to do this Bank holiday weekend? The weather is expected to be a little hit and miss, but here are a few events we have picked out if you are stuck for ideas.

Bishop’s Stortford

Cirque De La Lune – Victorian freak show and circus themed musical

This two-day extravaganza takes place at the Half Moon this weekend  and will be crammed full of incredible live music featuring some great local acts – and a few from further afield too. Also including a barbecue and beer and cider festival, this unique event will be a great way to spend the August bank holiday weekend in Bishop’s Stortford.

Witham Beer Festival –. Fri-Sat

With over 30 different ales available all sourced from Essex Breweries including one from Witham as well as cider and a small selection of local wines the Witham Beer Festival promises to be a fun day out. The hall itself is located in Collingwood Road and with a large public car park opposite together with good rail connections. Witham is easy to reach by bus or train from Chelmsford or Braintree.

Come along to Church farm to see local crafts and suppliers selling their products. Open between 10:30- 15:30, The farm is free to enter and includes plenty of things to do.
