There is now just over one month to go until the Tour de France will be cycling through Essex. The Intercounty team is really excited about them touring near to three of our branches; Intercounty Saffron Walden, Intercounty Braintree and Intercounty Chelmsford.
After the depart from Cambridge on 7 July the Tour de France will be traveling down Windmill Hill towards Saffron Walden, continuing onto High Street, the George/Hill street at around 12.51 and 12.52, through to East Street and then back onto the B1053 until it passes through Finchingfield, close to Braintree between 1.14pm -1.19pm.
The Tour de France will then continue through several Essex villages, Wethersfield, Church End, Shalford Green, Rayne, Barrister Green, Felstead, Hartford End, Great Waltham, Chignal Smealy until they reach Chelmsford.
The route will enter Chelmsford City area on the Felsted Road, the B1417 just south of Hertford End before joining the B1008, they will pass through between 1:58pm – 2:07pm.
