Visit Father Christmas in the Forest Saturday the 15th and 16th of December - If you are planning on taking your children to see Father Christmas, then why not take them along to the Hunting Lodge and New Chingford Visitor Centre. Price from £7.95 per child (including a present) from 10-12 and 12.30-15.00 at the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge. Christmas Carols at Audley End - Every year Audley End hosts a wonderful Carol concert, entry price include either a soft or alcoholic drink. This year they are holding the event on the 12th of December between 7:30pm till 8:45pm. To book go to www.english-heritage.org.uk

Go all aboard on Santa’s Special Train – this experience starts at the historic Ongar Station and goes through rolling countryside, whilst Santa makes his way through the train, visiting the children. Adults will be offered a festive drink and mince pies before arrival at the ‘North Pole’ station. On the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of December 2012. The Dove Project- decorate a dove with your children or write a message to yourself to a departed loved one, or someone you can’t spend Christmas with. The doves are then hung on a Christmas tree near the Market Square, Harlow for the remainder of the holiday period. Suggested donation £1 – all proceeds to the local charity Harlow Citizens Advice Bureau. Every Saturday between 1st and 22nd December from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. (weather dependent). £1 suggested donation to local charity.
