With only a few days to go until Easter we have put together a list of things for you and your family to do over the Easter half term in Essex and Herts...
Across Essex and Herts:
Saturday the 23rd of March and finishes on the Saturday the 6th of April – Entry Free
Pop into participating branches of Intercounty to count the eggs hiding in the window for your chance to win a giant egg and £100 for your school.
Colchester Town Centre:
Saturday March 23rd – Saturday April 14th - Entry Free:
Support the 24 independent traders who are taking part in a Easter Egg trail around the town. Families can follow the trail on a map to collect stickers in order to complete the hunt. Once the right number of eggs are collected, the map will then be swapped for a real chocolate egg and certificate for the children.
The Gibberd Garden, Gilden Way, Harlow:
Sunday 31st March - Entry £1

Hatfield Forest, Nr. Bishops Stortford
Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April 11:00am to 4:15pm Price: Child £2
Families will be encourage to follow the clues on the Easter trail and explore the circular trail through the forest, winding through the trees and across the open grassy plains. Audley End miniature railway – Saffron Walden
From Friday 29th March until Sunday 14th April - 11am - 4.45pm. Price: £3.50
Children can enjoy Easter themed activities, taking a train ride through the woods to see how many teddy bears they can spot, they will be met by an Easter bunny who will give an Easter Egg to each child. Shepreth Wildlife Park
29-31 Mar & 1 Apr – 12pm – Children under 2 are free – children 2-15 years £8.95 and

They will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in BunnyLand
Wimpole Hall Farm
Easter is a great time to visit Wimpole with the children, as they will get the chance to see the new woolly lambs frolicking about.
