The Tour De France sped through the UK this week, and what an exciting event it was, hundreds of people came out of their homes and businesses to line the streets from Cambridge to London on Monday 7 July, to support the 3rd Stage of the Tour, which started in York last Sunday.
If like many of us you have found yourself inspired by the Tour de France, what could be better than spending your free time exploring the countryside on one of the many bike routes across Essex or Herts.
The Visit Essex website - the site lists five many cycle ways throughout Essex although there are plenty more listed on the site:
Medieval markets, mazes and Morris dancing. Cycle Routes around Saffron Walden and Thaxted.
Designer shopping and country living. Cycle Routes around Braintree and Great Dunmow.
Picture-perfect villages. Cycle Routes around Coggeshall, Finchingfield and the Hedinghams.
