The Rental Sector Is Nearing Capacity

Great news for prospective landlords and landlords, as the private rental sector in the UK is nearing capacity according to the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

There just isn’t enough space to meet tenant demand, according to ARLA’s latest report. This has remained the same for the past year. The survey has also highlighted that tenants in general are staying in rented accommodation for longer periods, due to the uncertainty in the rental market, and a shortage of borrowing in the housing sector.

At the moment the government is doing very little to encourage landlords to invest in new properties, therefore the stock to tenants is rapidly decreasing.

At Intercounty we have recognized this shortage of rental property so we have developed a twitter page that publicises property before it hits the main search engines, giving our clients a little bit more time to beat the queues @rentalalerts.
