Not long to go until the three day May bank holiday weekend – and what a wonderful line up of entertainment and days out there is to be had across Hertfordshire & Essex, in fact there is so much going on that we’ve found it difficult to whittle down the list, but here are our favourite picks for this long weekend:  

Sausage and Cider festival - Friday 29th April 18:00 - 22:00, Saturday 30th April 11:00 - 22:00 and Sunday 1st May 11:00 - 21:00 Barleylands Farm, Billericay, Essex, CM11 2UD

Animal Antics weekend – also in Billericay Barleylands Farm, Barleylands Road, Billericay CM11 2UD Saturday 30th April 2016 through to bank holiday Monday 2nd May 2016, 10am to 5pm

“Race to the Farm Park for a ‘baa-rmy’ weekend of animal antics! Join them in the Farm Park for a fun-packed weekend where highlights will include the triumphant return of our wacky animal races including a brand NEW race: – NEW Chicken Run race with Rocky, Nugget, Drumsticks and Hot Wings! – The Lamb National sheep race with our fantastic Woolly Jumpers! – ‘Billy the Kid’ ‘Nicole Kidman’ and ‘Nanny Mcphee’ taking to the track for our Hilly Billy Goat Races! The Stapleford Flower Festival – 12th Century Church Stapleford   This event has been running for 47 years and comprises of much more than just flowers. There will be musicians playing on the Sunday and Bank holiday Monday, as well as an art market, children’s treasure hunt and plenty of refreshments. The event is running from 12.00 pm until 4.30 pm. Free entry and parking.
