We are so lucky in Essex and Hertfordshire to live so close to the Capital, so if you fancy having a day out in London why not check out the London Literature Festival packed full of unusual and creative thing to do with the kids this half term.
The Festival is running from the 13 October until the 1 November and some of the highlights are talks by Philip Pullman and Claudia Rankine to Tom Hanks and Hilary Clinton. It’s a special year for this annual literary event as it is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary of Poetry International – Young Adult Literature Weekend which features children’s events to coincide with the October half term holidays and will have some of the best writers from across the Nordic region.
On the 28 October is Young Adult Literature Weekender Saturday Pass, which will feature leading authors from the YA realm, as well as the Young Adult Literature weekend pass where visitors will be able to listen to established authors – including a book club with Ben Alderson: Flame in the Mist, take a look around their lively marketplace, enjoy live music and much more.
