Ben Maher of Bishop’s Stortford and his GB team one the 17th gold of the Olympic games, for Olympic showing jumping, the first time the UK have one the title for 60 years.

Bishop’s Stortford post office decided to paint their paint box gold in honor of Ben Maher. However the local village of Elsenham soon protested, and for the honour to go their village, as Ben is regarded as a local in Elsenham. So today Elsenham’s post box is getting a gold repaint.

Ben will also appear on the commemorative stamp in celebration of Team GB’s achievements this year.  The stamps will be available later today.

A fantastic achievement, congratulation Team GB from all of us at Intercounty.
