British Homebuyers Demand Good Internet Connection

One in ten house hunters admitted they have walked away from properties with poor internet connections, while one in five has checked broadband speeds when evaluating a home.
 
According to a recent survey by broadandchoices.co.uk, good broadband connection is now one of the most important factors when considering a new home, more important than off street parking and access to local amenities.
 
One in ten of the 2,000 home buyers who carried out the survey stated that they had walked away from homes with poor internet connection, whilst one if five had checked broadband speeds when evaluating a home.
 
Miles Shipside, Director of Rightmove stated: ‘In this digital age, a fast broadband connection is becoming more and more important for home-hunters. People don’t just rely on a good internet connection for browsing the web, but also television entertainment and working from home,’
