Rental market returns have continued to grow since the start of 2015 across 9 of the UK’s 12 regions. The average rent reported by HomeLet Rental Index now sits at £889 or £707 if you exclude central London. Following a period of seasonal adjustment the average rent on tenancies signed in January rose by 2.5% when compared to the month before.
The research has built a handy map of the UK, illustrating rent yearly increases and decreases by area revealing a 4.2% increase in the South East. These findings are complimented by LSL Property Services’ latest Buy-to-let index suggesting that rents are now 16% higher than in 2010.
