A Journey From Old And Shabby, To Charmingly Delightful…

You might not have ever considered buying an old bus on the web and renovating it, but that’s exactly what a couple in Herefordshire decided to do when they took on their very own renovation project.

The bus was featured on George Clarke’s, Amazing Spaces, and is now unrecognisible, and surprisingly spacious. The owners have lovingly restored it, adding a wooden floor, painted pine boarding, and a well-thought dining/kitchen area, with hand-built units, oak worktops, a gas cooker and a fridge. There is also a woodburning stove, and solar powered electricity.

Towards the back of the bus there is a comfortable double bed. Outside is a decked area on two levels, a fire-pit on which you can cook in the open air and two level platforms. These can act as tent-pitch areas, able to accommodate up to a further four guests if your party is larger, or which could be used simply as places to relax, take in the view or enjoy a picnic.

A few metres away lies a purpose built wooden bath house, containing a flush toilet and a luxurious roll-top bath with shower above. A second wood-burner is installed for those chillier nights and the room comes complete with tea-light candles for the ultimate romantic bath experience.

The bus is located in their beautiful garden, riotous with flowers in Hay-on-Wye Herefordshire. If you would like to find out more about this bus renovation or would like to stay in this unique accommodation then why not visit their website @ http://www.majesticbus.co.uk/
