A hole in one for local charity

Matthew and Steve from Intercounty Harlow attended a Charity Golf Day at Bishop’s Stortford Golf club at the weekend to raise money and awareness for a local charity – Kids in Need - they managed to raise in excess of £2,500 for the charity.

There were eighty people who took part - twenty teams of four people, Intercounty had one team of four. The Intercounty team, Matt and Steve ended up wining the competition by 11 shots!

Kids in Need is a local charity aimed which through donations and fund raising grants ‘wishes’ for children between 3 to 19 who are terminally ill or suffering from serious illness.

The charity has recently been raising money for a 14 year old girl who has had a pace maker fitted after having problems with her heart since she was born. Her ‘wish’ was to visit France on a school trip however  two weeks before leaving the young girl had to be readmitted to hospital for another operation, and although this led to her missing the trip the charity bought her a new iphone instead, so that she could stay connected whilst in hospital.
