West Bridgford

West Bridgford is a prosperous and popular suburb to the south of Nottingham across the River Trent, with easy access into the city for the commuter, via the M1.

Its new bars, restaurants, cafes and shops such as M&S have helped to make it a highly sought after destination and property prices in central West Bridgford have benefited as a result.

As the home of Trent Bridge cricket ground, Nottingham Forest Football Club and the National Water Sports Centre, the area offers the sporting enthusiast plenty to go at, but if you would rather play than watch, then the amenities are excellent with golf courses, tennis, football, rowing, bowls, provide something for everyone.

The main shopping district offers a wonderfully diverse choice of retailers and runs from Central Avenue through Tudor Square to Gordon Road.

Multiple retailers in the central area include Specsavers Opticians and Hearing centre, Vision Express, Boots, Greggs, a large Co-operative supermarket, Iceland, Blockbuster Video.

These established chains complement a variety of independent specialist shops. There are two food superstores in the area: Asda in West Bridgford and Morrisons in nearby Gamston.
