Choosing the date for your sale to complete is dependent on how your sale or purchase is moving on and the circumstances of others in your chain. Where possible we recommend keeping clear of peak times such as bank holidays, end of school terms and even Fridays.
Make sure you keep in regular contact with your agent and your solicitors (Intercounty will regularly call you too) to stay ahead of the game by knowing everyone's current situation and thoughts on dates. Don't just leave it to chance.
Organise the removals.
Be ready to leave:
Put together an essentials kit that you can keep close to hand:
Have a last look around to make sure you haven’t left anything behind.
Your buyer's conveyancer electronically pays off the remaining balance of the purchase price to the seller's conveyancer. This is known as completion.
Once the money is received by the seller's conveyancer, they will inform the estate agent that the keys to the property can be released. The buyer can now move in.
Enjoy your new home!
We will stay in touch and would very much like to hear your feedback on how well you think we managed your move. We hope you enjoy your new home.
