Horwich

Situated on the picturesque West Pennine Moors, Horwich enjoys many nature walks, reserves and conservation areas, offering owners of properties there spectacular views over the moors and across to Rivington Pike.

Located between the towns of Bolton and Chorley and on the edge of The Moors, surrounding areas like Blackrod, Lostock, Adlington, Anderton and Aspull are all within easy reach.

Horwich benefits from excellent road and rail networks with train stations at Blackrod, Horwich Parkway and Lostock providing a regular service to Manchester, Preston and beyond and there is easy access to the M61 motorway.

There are a wide variety of shopping and amenities both within the town centre and at the nearby Middlebrook retail park and the town is well catered for supermarket shopping with Tesco and Asda stores on the outskirts of town and Aldi and Iceland stores closer to the town centre.

The town offers a superb contemporary health and fitness Leisure Centre, featuring a range of facilities which include swimming pool, teaching pool, fitness suites, large sports hall, all weather pitches and meeting rooms.

Horwich has many older cottage-style houses to be found in the centre the town and in the Church Street conservation area. Others are situated further out of town at Wallsuches, Wilderswood and Bottom o'th Moor. Many of these cottages are of historical interest because of their links with hand-loom weaving or agriculture.

There is a wealth of history and heritage in Horwich and all of these factors make it a very popular residential area and one of the most desirable areas to settle in across Lancashire.
